New 2009 MacBook Pro 15” vs Sony Vaio FW series?

I’m in the market for a new laptop and I’ve narrowed it down to these two. I want your opinion on which has better build quality/features. Don’t turn this into a Mac vs PC argument, just what you think would be better for me. I’m going off to college and I will be majoring in marketing. Daily use will include web browsing, email, photo-editing (adobe photoshop), music management (iTunes), and web design. I will not be using this laptop for viewing movies via DVD or Blur-ray so the vaio’s 1080p wouldn’t benefit me much. I like the portability and durability of the MacBook Pro, but the vaio seems like a good alternative for a lower price (no DDR3 RAM though :/ ). I have tried out the MacBook Pro and so far I’m very impressed. It’s zippy and it has a clean OS with multi-touch. I’m lost and need some input from some experienced users of BOTH products, although any help is appreciated.

Don’t let the “yesterday” bragging fool you for today. People kept saying how macs never get infected, and the viruses makers made a viruses for it. you CAN get infected now. Be careful of the Mac pride.
